Taste of Playa 2010

Taste of Playa is a community-oriented culinary event that celebrates the creativity and diverse cultural influences of chefs throughout the Riviera Maya.
Just like last year successful inaugural event, this second annual sampling will be held at Parque Fundadores (5th Ave. b/w Juarez Ave. & 1st S St.) on November 21, from 3 pm to 9 pm, and it’s going to feature 40 restaurants and beverage providers coming from as far north as Puerto Morelos and as far south as Tulum, with well known faces as Los Aguachiles, Carboncitos, Wicky’s, Tequila Barrel and La Casa del Agua, to name a few.

Taste of Playa Pesos

This individual sampling tokens may be purchased at the event itself for $1.00 usd each. All of the signature dishes and beverages offered will cost between 1 and 2 “Taste of Playa Pesos”, and the guests could purchase as many or as few as they wish.

Marketplace

In addition to sampling dishes from some of the best culinary talent on the Riviera Maya, festival attendees will be able to shop at the Taste of Playa Marketplace. The Marketplace is the event’s retail outlet where each year, a collection of food merchants will be invited to promote and sell their specialty food products. This venue proudly showcases a variety of local small businesses whose products will contribute to the overall experience of the event. Tourists and residents alike will have the opportunity to sample and purchase distinctive items and regionally prepared products.
